For House-calls, vaccination fees include the home visit and full physical examination. Special rates are available for having multiple pets vaccinated within the same visit both in-clinic and house-call.
Home Euthanasia
The decision to euthanase a pet is one of the hardest you’ll ever make. Our service allows you and your pet to be in private, familiar surroundings and to take the time you need during this emotional process.
Euthanasia means “gentle death.” Your pet is first sedated with a small injection under the skin, taking 5–10 minutes to take effect. During this time, you can sit with and comfort them. Once asleep, a final injection is given, leading to a peaceful, painless passing.
Afterwards, you may choose to bury your pet at home, or we can arrange burial or private cremation. We work with Eden Hills Pet Cremation Services to ensure your pet’s final journey is handled with care. If you have questions about the process, please reach out or see our helpful links.
New puppy and kitten health checks
Your new pet is best being examined at home before they are fully vaccinated, as there is no hospital room to be exposed to sick animals. The pet’s new environment can be assessed and recommendations made to make the integration into your family as smooth as possible.
Behavioural Consultation
When a behaviour problem is identified the first step is to ascertain whether it is a training problem or a true behaviour problem. The aim of the consultations is to establish a diagnosis and determine a treatment plan. Behaviour Consultations are approx. one hour in duration.
Diagnostics – blood tests and pathology
Depending on physical examination findings and any changes you have noted in your pet’s health, activity or behaviour, it may be recommended that further testing be done. We can take samples of blood, urine and faeces at home. Some tests can be run in-house at the clinic, but sometimes it may be required to send samples by courier straight to a reference laboratory for specific testing and usually have results within 24 hours. Skin scrapings and ear swabs can be checked back at the clinic usually the same day.

Chinese Medicine
Acupuncture is very effective at treating a variety of common conditions and diseases in dogs and cats. It is frequently used to treat pain associated with arthritis and back problems. Most animals tolerate the placement of needles very well and seem to feel relaxed as a result of the treatment. A frequency and duration of treatment will be recommended according to the condition and your pet’s needs.

Class IV Laser Therapy
Class IV lasers operate by emitting high-energy beams that contain specific wavelengths capable of saturating the tissue, which triggers a direct photochemical response.
This process is known as ‘photobiomodulation’. Laser energy increases circulation, bringing more oxygen and nutrients to damaged areas, hence creating an optimal healing environment which reduces inflammation, swelling, muscle spasms, stiffness and pain. Laser therapy is often used to treat post-orthopaedic surgery, ligament and tendon injury, hip dysplasia, intervertebral disc disease (IVDD), non-healing wounds, dental (gum) inflammation and much more! The effects of laser therapy include improved healing time, pain reduction, increased circulation and decreased swelling. Vetcall is able to offer laser sessions in-clinic and on house-calls.
